HATHA YOGA
TREE POSE (Vrksasana)

This posture helps you open your hips and develop balance. Just like life, balancing requires not total stillness, but tiny constant re-adjustments.

 

1. Stand on one leg and rest the free foot on your inner thigh.

2. Place hands together in a ‘prayer’ position.

3. Toes are like roots, spread them for more connection with the ground.

 

Stay focused and do two sets of  90 seconds each side.

WARRIOR 2 (Virabhadrasana II)

Named after the great warrior Shiva created. This classic posture develops

endurance in legs, improves concentration and opens out chest and lungs.

 

1. Keep the back leg straight and foot angled at 90 degrees.

2. Bend the front leg and have foot facing forward.

3. Turn head to look down your stretched out arm.

 

Hold for 5 deep breathes than swap sides. Repeat for 5 minutes.

TRIANGLE POSE (Utthita Trikonasana)

The triangle pose stretches out hamstrings and calves, opens hips, relieves back pain and improves balance.

 

1. Legs wide apart, front food forward and back foot facing at 90 degrees.

2. Keep legs straight as you lean over to front leg.

3. Hold position and breather slowly and deeply.

 

Hold this position for two sets of 30 seconds each side.

CRAB POSE (Catuspadapitham)

The carb pose strengthens lower back, arms, legs and shoulders and helps your respiratory system.

 

1. Warm up wrists and shoulders before getting in position.

2. Start in seated position with hands placed behind you, fingers pointed forward.

3. Slowly lift up pelvis off floor to make a crab pose.

 

Hold for 60 seconds. Breathe slowly and deeply.

METHODOLOGY X
SUMO SQUATS

Develops definition and firmness in inner thighs and also strengthens

lower back and core.

 

1. Legs wide with feet turned out 45 -75 degrees – keep knees in line with

feet slowly squat up and down.

2. The slower you move the better, 3 seconds down 3 seconds up is best.

3. Drive heals into floor a you come up to maximize inner thigh and gluteus toning.

 

Do 4 sets of 8 reps.

ONE LEGGED HIP RAISE

This exercise awakens your posterior chain – If you sit down all day your muscles forget to work properly – this drill will functionally wake your body up.

 

1. Lie on your back with one leg off floor and the other resting on a sofa or bench – then slowly drop hip to floor than raise the leg.

2. Go slow on the way down and quick on the way up to maximize results.

 

Hold for 60 seconds. Breathe slowly and deeply.

BIKINI SHARPER

This tones up inner thighs, and strengthens your core and glute medius. Perfect for firming and shaping all those bikini muscle!

 

1. Lie on your side; lengthen your body out completely, resting your head on your outstretched arm.

2. Lift both legs up off the floor.

3. Slowly float up your top leg for 2 seconds, hold for 2 seconds at the top, and then let it float down.

 

Do 2 sets of 14 reps on each side.

THE SUPERGIRL

This develops your balance, core strength and abs.

 

1. Begin on all fours, and then very slowly extend your left arm and right leg. Hold for 2 seconds without turning hips.

2. Then slowly float back and touch your knee with your hand.

3. Your focus is to stop your hips from /twisting.

 

Do 3 slow sets of 12.

X COMBAT
ALTERNATING KNEES STRIKES

Knee strikes are a powerful move that develops power and tones your entire lower body.

 

1. Lift floor off floor and extend knee forward while learning back.

2. Drive hips forward into each strike.

 

Do 2 sets of 30 reps.

FLICK KICKS

This is great drill for opening out your hips an improving balance.

 

1. Stand on one leg and extend and retract foot from knee.

2. Keep you entire body still, only the knee moves.

 

Do 30 slow kicks on each leg.

TAP PRESS UPS

This is advanced core and balance exercise used to help Cage Fighters.

 

1. Keep body still and tense abs as you move your body up and down.

2. When lifting up an arm maintain flat stance to work core

 

Do 3 sets of 8 in total.

SHADOW BOXING JAB CROSS

Shadow boxing is great upper body cardio and improbves eye hand co-ordination. Please do infront of a mirror.

 

1. Extend your left arm, then your right . this is known as jab cross combo.

2. After each combination pause for 2 seconds.

3. The movement comes from rotating the foot and the hips.

 

Do 3 sets of 2 minutes.
